The Ballad Of The Healer

~~Song heard following the 1st battle of Shrikewall from the barracks~~

On that day they took the field,
Their fate unknown was to be sealed,
Across the plain strode savage elf,
For others they marched not their self.

Battles cry and arrows did fly,
The sounds of death was found close by.
With shield and sword their allies fought.
With magic and faith: good health they sought.

War echoed across the land.
Death was dealt as was the plan.
But foes strike did come so swift,
friends bodies were cleaved a rift.

Disaster did come,
courage did fail some.

But in the midst of desperate times,
called upon did they find.

To the wall they did STRIDE!
Taking up arms for their side.
With body and blood,
they held back the encroaching flood!

To a man they paid the cost
of courage and loyalty to country pride.
Though each they may have been lost.
In the their act the battle swung wide.

Sacrifice they surely did
But hold the line; they did not hid.

Upon that day, we saw the truth
That Zeltenian heart is the proof.

So we raise a glass!
we raise our mug!
we salute the corps who staunch our blood!

FOR THIS THE DAY!
THE MEDICS GAVE!
NOW DRINK WE TO THEIR HONORED GRAVE!
