Ghost Rock
First discovered after the The Great Quake in '68, ghost rock is like coal, but burns far hotter and longer, and (strangely enough) gives off a white vapor and a ghostly howling noise while burning.
Ghost rock has many applications in New Science. A fist-sized chunk of ghost rock can burn for approximately one week, and those who handle it frequently often have their hands tinted black for long periods of time.
